Brain Tanning Workshop

Carbon County Museum and the Medicine Bow Museum are excited to announce the first workshop in the 2015 Heritage Workshop Series: Discovering Traditional Crafts of Carbon County. Brain Tanning will explore the traditional process of using animal brain matter to tan raw hides. Led by Jess Orndorff of Rawlins, this workshop will be held on October 3rd from 9am until 5pm in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. Lunch will be provided.

This workshop is offered free of charge; however the class will be capped at 10 participants, so please pre-register. All materials are included; hides will be provided by Trails West Taxidermy.
