At the second annual Carbon County School District #2 District Science Fair two sixth graders in Jackie Jones’s class placed in the top three of all competitors. Conor McGraw, placed second with his project, “Hot Chocolate” which explored topics including boiling points, melting points, nutritional value and main ingredients of different types of chocolate. Classmate, Alex Claice, placed first in the 6th grade division. Alex presented his project on the molecular make-up of various liquids and how that composition can interfere with magnetic forces.
