Doors Open at Hanna Hometown Market

It is safe to say there was no Hanna resident that was completely uninterested in the opening of the new grocery store. After three years without any store at all and five years without a well-stocked store, Hanna-ites were fairly fed up with having to travel 40 miles to Rawlins or 70 miles to Laramie to buy so much as a can of soup. Kyle and Amelia Young opened the doors of Hanna Hanna Hometown Market at seven o’clock on Wednesday morning, July, 2015, and a steady stream of enthusiastic customers came in to check out the selection and prices and to buy groceries in the very same town in which they lived.

When asked how his first day in business was going, owner Kyle Young said, “It is meeting my expectations and my customers expectations.” He added, “It is a work in progress.” Kyle and Amelia Young invite suggestions from customers.

  1. Congrats! So glad to see a grocery store back in Hanna! We still have the old Golden Rule lots for sale, next to the town hall, if anyone is interested. Zoned commercial and residential, both.
