On Saturday at 1 p.m. on October 15th, a helicopter will drop golf balls onto the football and track area north of the park in Medicine Bow, following a free barbeque at the park from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. These events are part of fund raiser for the Medicine Bow Clinic. Funding for the Medicine Bow Clinic has been cut by the Carbon County Commissioners by 30%, and the community is trying to raise money to keep the clinic open.
To participate in the golf ball drop, “buy” some golf balls at the Medicine Bow Clinic or at the barbeque. It is $10.00 for one ball, $25.00 for three balls, or $40.00 for five balls.Your number will be written on the golf balls, and they will be thrown out of the helicopter above a marker in the football field. The owner of the golf ball that lands closest to the marker will win $500 in cash or a 1-hour helicopter tour for four. The owner of the golf ball furthest from the pin will receive the remaining prize. You do not need to be present to win. A fun way to support the Medicine Bow Clinic!
