The Health Fair blood draw will take place at Energy Basin Clinic on Thursday, February 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The basic Health Fair panel includes calcium, glucose, uric acid, TSH, sodium, potassium, chloride, iron, lipid profile, liver function, kidney function, and CBC testing and costs $35. Additional testing is available at additional charge: PSA (prostate test for men) $20, A1c (screening for diabetes) $15, and vitamin D (important for bodily function in areas of the country where sun is limited most of the year) $40.
Check, cash, or credit cards are accepted for payment. Insurance is not accepted. You must be 18 years or older to participate in this screening. Results will be available on April 9th at the Health Fair at the Rawlins Recreation Center or at the Hanna clinic after April 9th.
HOW TO PREPARE: Fast for 12 hours for best results. Diabetics should fast for only six hours. Water is allowed and recommended. Black coffee or tea is allowed. Please continue your prescribed medications. Do not fast if you are pregnant.
