The meet on January 29, 2015 was the HEM wrestling senior recognition night. The three graduating seniors were Dakota Trump, Jason Nelsen, and Kenny Wohl.
Dakota is the son of Rebecca Trump. He started school here in Hanna in the fifth grade, then moved to Michigan, came back in the seventh grade and, after stops in Rawlins and Cheyenne, he has been back at HEM since his sophomore year. While at HEM, he has participated in football and wrestling. After graduation Dakota plans to enter the welding program at Casper College.
Jason is the son of Ruth and Robert Nelsen. He has lived in Hanna since he was two years old and has attended school here from kindergarten on up. Jason has participated competitively in wrestling since sixth grade and participated in track, basketball, and football throughout Jr. High. He has also taken part in Young Authors since elementary school, and placed third as a freshmen in the fiction category. He plans to continue writing after high school and write fiction novels. After high school he plans to serve a mission, then attend WWCC to become a language arts teacher to support his writing, and eventually become a published author.
Kenny is the son of Paula and Jerry Wohl. Kenny has attended school in Medicine Bow and Hanna since pre-school. While at HEM, Kenny has participated in football as team manager, junior high basketball as team manager, and has wrestled since seventh grade. Kenny has been a competitor in Special Olympics since eighth grade and has won over 16 medals. He has been a member of FBLA since ninth grade and has been in FCCLA since tenth grade. Kenny has served two terms as a Student Council officer. During his senior year, he has worked at Tractor Supply through a work-study program. Kenny’s future plans are to continue working at Tractor Supply after graduation.
