Judges Needed

The Rawlins Outlaw Classic is a co-hosted event shared between Carbon County SD #1 and Carbon County SD #2 speech teams. To host the event, approximately 100 judges per round will be needed. An excellent opportunity to see local team members perform, as well as work the intricate operations of a speech meet, your presence is requested as a judge. If you cannot attend, perhaps you can suggest another community member participate. In fact, Saratoga, CC#2, hopes to host a novice speech meet in the fall, and the Rawlins meet will provide an excellent opportunity to prepare for the upcoming event.

Judges can volunteer to evaluate more than one round within a variety of events. Typically, judges arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of a round. To register, potential judges may call Saratoga Middle High School (307-326-5246) or register with a speech team member or the parent of a speech team member. Car pool connections may be made by responding to this email or calling 307-730-0100. (Coach O.) Coach Wessel and Coach Bush will also be available to judge at the meet. To demonstrate events, CC#2 speech team members will offer a judging clinic in the library of SMHS on Tuesday, February 18th, at 6:00 pm should judges wish to attend a training clinic. Below is an overview of the upcoming meet schedule.
