Kill Weeds for Free

June 17th is Weed Day in Hanna. Weed Day is sponsored by the Carbon County Weed and Pest, the Town of Hanna, and Medicine Bow Coordinated Resource Management Group.  You can kill your weeds for free by participating in Weed Day. Sign up and give the crew permission to come onto your property and treat your noxious weeds. (Please make the crew aware of any ornamental plants you are concerned about or cover them on the day of application.) The crew will make every effort to protect non-target species and only treat the weeds. The spraying crews could use your help on your own property and elsewhere in town. Meet at 8 a.m. at the Town Hall to participate. If you are interested in helping or if you just want the crew to come and spray the weeds in your yard, download this form, fill it out, and drop it off at the Hanna Town Hall ASAP, so that Weed Day can be planned accordingly. If you have any questions, call Jaimy Cass with Carbon County Weed and Pest at 307-320-5266 or Justin Garrison with Medicine Bow Conservation District at 307-379-2221. If needed, backup spray day will be June 19th at 8 a.m.
