It is not too late to have the Carbon County Memorial Hospital Health Fair blood draw done in Hanna. Energy Basin Clinic will be offering the health fair testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through the months of February and March. Walk-ins accepted, but you may want to call first to avoid waiting. Payment is due at time of service. (The clinic will not bill insurance for Health Fair.) Business deals with Carbon County, Rawlins National Bank, Sinclair, etc., are honored.
Basic Health Fair Panel costs $35 and includes: Calcium, iron, glucose (for that day), sodium, potassium, chloride, uric acid, lipid profile, liver function, kidney function, CBC panel, TSH (thyroid).
Also available for extra charge: PSA (Prostate Test) $20, A1C (screening for diabetics or those with a family history of diabetes) $15, Vitamin D (important for bodily function in areas of the country where sun is limited most of the year) $40.
You must be 18 years or older to have the screening.
How to Prepare:
Fast for 12 hours for best results.
Diabetics should fast for 6 hours.
Water is allowed and recommended.
Black coffee is allowed.
Please continue your prescribed medications.
Do not fast if you are pregnant.
