Barbara Jean Gregory of Hanna, Wyoming, died on August 19, 2017, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, at the age of 62. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, David, Hanna, Wyoming; parents J. Arnold and Rosemond (Rose) Pietron, and brother, David Pietron of Larimore, North Dakota. She is survived by her stepson and his wife, Phillip and Heather Gregory, grandchildren Kolten, Ashlyn, Grace, Madelyn, and Konner Gregory of Kemmerer, WY. In addition, siblings: Leah R. Pietron, Bellevue, Nebraska; Kathleen A. Taber, Grand Forks, North Dakota; Colleen M. Ross, Columbia Falls, Montana; John R. Pietron, Crookston, Minnesota, and Christine L. Maraggos, Englewood, Colorado, and sister-in-law Lori Kim Mitchell, Bellevue, Nebraska.
Barbara was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on November 6, 1954. She moved to Hanna, WY in 1977 after graduating from North Dakota State University. She taught Family and Consumer Science at HEM Jr./Sr. High School for 39 years. Her official retirement is August 31, 2017 and she was one of the longest teaching instructors in Carbon County School District #2.
Barbara loved teaching, cooking, sewing, hunting, and spending time with her family. She loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren and going to their events.
Services will be held at HEM Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium on Saturday, September 2 at 10 a.m., followed by a luncheon in the Multi-purpose room. The scattering of ashes will be done privately.
