Former Hanna resident Glenn T. Burns, 69, died June 13, 2014, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Glenn was born April 1,1945 in Jaspar Park, Alberta, to Leo and Gret Burns. He attended schools in Hayden, Colorado, and Hanna, WY, graduating from HEM with the class of 1964. Here he met his high school sweetheart, Debbie (Braun), and they married in 1974. He lived and worked in the Hanna area and Utah until he moved to Gillette five years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, garage sales, and time spent with his family. He always had a story to tell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Don, and sisters Elaine, Mary Ellen, and Molly.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Gillette, sons Jon and Jason of Montana, Chris of Gillette, and daughters Gwen, Laura, and Melissa, brothers, Bryan of Stockton, UT, Bob of Rock Springs, WY, and sisters Lynne Evans, Rock Springs, Les Hilbird and Leni Barnum, Douglas, WY, Virgie Million and Donna Pipher, Hanna, and also several grandchildren who filled his days with smiles and joy, and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 18,2014, at Keyhole Reservoir and at the Hanna Cemetery on Saturday June 21,2014 at 2:00 p.m. Gillette Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
